India is moving towards modern and effective city planning with constructing 100 smart cities ******* Development of first Smart City has been started in Dholera: Saurabh Patel ******* Our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has desired to build 100 Smart Cities in the country to fulfill the dream of modern and effective urban planning in the nation. To fulfill this vision, Gujarat has decided to provide the best contribution. The Finance Minister of Gujarat Mr. Saurabh Patel said that Gujarat has started to develop the first Smart City of India in Dholera under the powerful leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel to fulfill the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister to develop 100 smart cities in the nation. Not only that; but all the experts from the world would discuss in a seminar on “Smart City for Next Generation” in the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit. As partner countries, Canada, Sweden and Netherlands will contribute in this programme. And along with UN Habitat, the All India Institute of Local Self Government, Canada-India Business Exchange, Good Governance Foundation, Indo-Canadian Business Chamber and ICICI would be the partner organizations. Mostly Dr. Kulwant Singh (Chairman and In-charge of UN Habitat World Urban Campaign), Mr. Flaming Borescove (President of International Faderation for Housing and Planning – Denmark), Mr. Ruger D’bruine (CEO of Nexnowoos – Netherlands) and Mr. Stephen C Betty (Global Head - Infrastructure of KPMG America-Canada) would be the premier speakers in this seminar. The intention behind this programme is to adopt best approach towards urban planning and management; through it India could move forward towards modern and effective city planning.
