India, the largest democracy in the world is going to vote. Many - TopicsExpress

India, the largest democracy in the world is going to vote. Many political parties are geared up to stake their claim to form the government. But, this article is basically written for the voters, who are going to exercise their franchise. As voters, we are always confused and hence, the birth of COALITION GOVT. The presence of coalition govt clearly indicates a confused electorate. The voter, these days gives more importance to the candidate, rather than the party, and hence the REGIONAL PARTIES, have become more powerful and play a decisive role in govt. Formation. The voter when he votes for this LOK SABHA, should always remember that we are following a representative form of democracy, and not the PARTICIPATIVE TYPE, followed in other countries like GREAT BRITAIN and USA. Our voters should bear in mind that our representatives should be educated enough to understand the parliamentary discussions, should have a clean image and should understand and respect our Constitution. We should also not entertain or elect those candidates who or whose party policies are communal in nature and believe in DIVIDE AND RULE POLICY. We as voters should also make a written agreement with candidates, with regards to fulfilling their POST -POLL PROCEDURES. We as educated voters should compulsorily vote considering it our DUTY,and our RIGHT. We also should not be carried away by the marketing strategies adopted by these political parties to gain our votes. People say that OUR BEUROCRACY runs the government.Yes, can be true. Since majority of our elected representatives are not educated. So, this time the ONUS is on Us, to vote for the best candidate who will be fit enough to understand our policies, our Constitution, and really make our country. Prosperous.
