There will often be up to four stations of chefs preparing food for guests. Gifts: Couples usually request that no gifts at the wedding, so guests usually have gifts shipped to the couple’s home or bring an envelope of money to the wedding. Gifts are exchanged between the bride’s family and the groom’s family before and after the wedding. What colors represents... White brings bad luck, even death Black, unlucky color Yellow, lucky color Green, lucky color Red and Gold. The combination of these two bold colors represents luck and wealth Attire: The bridal dress is a sari with tons of ornaments beads. Her hair is usually in a bun and covered with a crown and veil. The groom may wear a white silk brocade suit, sword and turban as his wedding outfit. Note Traditions: Bride is given a jewel, set in gold, on a gold cord to wear throughout her marriage.
