A six-year-old, Bhavani, suffered grievous injuries after falling down from the Ganesh pandal near Lumbini Park at the Secretariat. Her mother, Maheshwari, too got seriously injured in the incident and is still in trauma. They are residents of Balapur. The devotees, police personnel and other volunteers rushed for help. Although the volunteers immediately called for an ambulance, but in view of the traffic it was difficult for the ambulance to reach the spot immediately. Meanwhile, Greater Hyderabad Youth Association chairman MA Irfan who was working as a volunteer lifted the little girl in his hands and ran to the nearby Mediciti Hospital.
