Thu · Sir....wud like to inform you that the civil administration has totally collapsed in Srinagar!! ....d CMO is not to b seen.....d IAS officers....are absconding..... d J& K police is reportedly throwing away their guns ....n claiming to b flood affected victims are leaving d valley..... The civil administration officials are abandoning d valley like rats leaving a sinking ship..... The rescue forces are working day n night ....planning n executing rescue operations!! Various medical teams are providing medical cover in relief camps..... Doctors from d Indian Army from all over India have joined d rescue mission..... Sorties by our sincere Airforce pilots ......flying for 18 hrs per day.....are being carried out..... Right from our valiant Jawaan to our responsible Generals are working with full JOSH ..... The rescue efforts by all are not enough...... Sir....there are tons n tons of relief material arriving at our Old Airfield..... meant to be handled by d civil administration........water,food,medicines,blankets,tents......but....sadly....no one to take charge n distribute amongst d ppl.......... Sir......there are boats meant for d civil administration........ but none being used..... The Army cannot touch it as it is not meant for them........ Thanks to d Governor Mr.N.N. Vohra .....who along with his handful of secretaries is working in tandem with our Indian Army n Airforce........... More than 6 lakh ppl are to be rescued ....... The rescue mission has to be on a war footing......... If delayed......it will b hell in no time.......... Water borne diseases........epidemics..... SKIMS.......one of d most reputed medical institutions of Srinagar.......where are their doctors?? If our bravehearts can do anything......cant d J&K Police forces do d same......... With d anger increasing amongst d locals.......there will b total chaos on d streets soon.......n with d police absconding.....lawlessness will prevail in d valley......... Children from d GB Pant Hospital have been given refuge in our Base Hospital..........but for how long......... Rescued ppl are given medical treatment in our hospital....... All d army men are having Khichdi from d community kitchens for past 6-7 days......yes....from d jawaan to d General....... Black coffee n black tea is all that they are taking But ensuring bottles from RO plant, puri alu.....bread n patties baked in our army bakery are being supplied to hungry mouths being rescued.................. Yes Sir........that is our Indian Army......service before self......!! I am a proud wife of an army doctor posted in d valley.............but feel so helpless not being able to do anything to help in d rescue mission.......... Sir....there was a catch in my husbands voice .........when he said ......d rescued ppl in d camps chant..........Bharat Maata Ki Jai !!.......Indian Army Ki Jai !!! Sir........but d work is huge n daunting with very less responsible hands pitching in...... Sir.......ppl absconding from their duties should b held responsible............ Work shud b accelerated in a planned manner at d earliest to save our Jannat !! Hope this letter of mine reaches you at d earliest...............
