Indias being multi religion country provides lot of scope to observe sad things which makes humans here look more distorted and funny. I visited Ajmer Sharief. The thought that Khwaja was a Muslim never came into my mind like a serious issue but he was a great soul is what mind peacefully carried throughout. Once we landed there , my wife insisted that we must get a chadar . It was early morning. People were in deep sleep, empty roads were looking more peaceful. Only one shopkeeper was there , arranging the things in his shop. My wife asked for a chadar. He with a smile and warmth started greeting us. I felt nice till he said - Take that chadar if youre going to ask for some big mannat. Though it is bit costlier but will give discount. And once we were in ,a boy shopkeeper warned us indirectly about the wrong people. When I went in front of the holy compound suddenly a man standing there held my head forcefully and pressed it hard. I was witnessing a forced bow. But what was more astonishing was that he was not allowing me to raise my head. Finally he said - Drop here some money and Khwaja will fulfill your muraad ! I gathered more strength and raised my head , looked at the man and said - khwaja has already blessed me. At another point the same episode was repeated. Then I saw two shopkeepers fought terribly. One said to other , you are taking my clients. Finally we purchased some rings from the boy shopkeeper and he said- this is what I was hinting at !! In our Hindu culture it was always considered good to feed or give some money to sadhus who live on alms. One day a sadhu knocked at the door and my father as usual went out to offer a rupee or two, even sometimes he used to give five or ten , while accepting the money the sadhu said - my shoes are totally destroyed, give me shoe. My father went upstairs and got his old pair of shoes . Sadhu refused to accept and instead told my father that he will tell the brand name of shoe and my father should purchase new shoes of that particular brand. During his last visit he had told my mother - Get me the new shirt of the same colour and company ( Levis ) your son (me ) is wearing !
