Industrial Symbiosis Partnerships Solena Fuels & British Airways: from biomass to aviation biofuel Solena’s process feeds biomass into a high temperature gasification reactor, which converts into stable SynGas. After processing, SynGas can be used as a natural gas replacement to power combustion gas turbines for power production or converted into synthetic liquid biofuels such as biodiesel or aviation biofuels. British Airways had partnered with Solena to develop the GreenSky London project, a facility that will produce 50 million gallon per year.
