:: Infected Details :: - We are looking for at least 70, crazy individuals. Please read the rules (preliminary draft, subject to change) pertaining to the infected below to get a better sense of the application of this entity for the game. - Infected will not have markers. That defeats the purpose. - Infected are encouraged and allowed to wear any amount of padding. - Infected will eliminate players by tearing a piece of hanging tape (think flag football) off of the waist of live players, if unable a light touch will do. Please no biting. - Infected will only be placed in groups in certain areas of the map at a time. It will not be a shooting range. Game Producers will carefully place hordes of infected during certain key game events to increase effectiveness and up the horror factor. - Infected will NOT be brain dead zombies. They will hide, attack in groups, run, scream and jump. For the fans out there, think 28 days later, not your generic slow walkers. - Infected will have different boss types (more to come on this) we will have Tanks (heavily armored infected), Bloaters (infected who use smoke grenades to confuse and blind their opponents), and much, much more. - Their will be a costume contest for Infected, they are encouraged to dress the part. In addition to a welt and most kills as a zombie contest. - Infected will NOT be playing for points, or missions, players who volunteer must accept the fact that on August 17th you are a zombie. - Our staff and game producers are going to maintain the safety of players above all else, and we will ensure infected role-players understand the circumstances and are wearing ample protection. - We havent fully decided on the details but Infected players will receive a strong incentive to play (eg discounted play at future event, discounted bbq at players party night before, something along those lines) - We are also considering the idea of zombie eliminations counting for something bigger at end game. For instance, how would players feel if the final battle required ALL players who were eliminated by zombies to become infected for the last battle against all other players (on both sides) this is also dependent on numbers. PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK, this is preliminary details and I want input!
