Information from Patrick Roth WSBT at the scene: A woman was seriously hurt after being hit by a car Saturday night in the 600 Block of East Ewing in South Bend. Thats near Riley High School. Police told us around 9:30 p.m. the victim was crossing the street leaving a family function. She dropped something and when she went to pick it up she was hit. Family members witnessed the crash. They left to be with the victim at Memorial Hospital. The driver did stop. As of 10:30 p.m. there were no charges and offers were still on scene investigating. Police couldnt give the womans condition except she was seriously hurt.
