They arrive at the court at 8:45 and they get ready to take a stand.People get in the courtroom as well as the prosecutor ,the policewoman and the accused (Thoko Sikhonde) as they wait for the judge.after 10mins the judge gets in and takes her stand. Police woman:All rise. (They all rise,and as the judge takes her sit,they do so as well after being instructed by the policewoman again.). Judge:Councilor Grootboom you may proceed. Prosecutor:Thank you my Lord,Mrs Sikhonde may you rise,raise your right hand and put your left hand on the book of righteousness and testify that youll speak nothing but the truth and so God should help you. Thoko:Ill speak nothing but the truth ,uZimu angkgelebhe. Prosecutor:Mrs Sikhonde ,can you again tell the court the day,the place and the time the incidence took place. Thoko:26 August 2013 ,Monday morning,3715 Ngobeni Street,Ackerville,Emalahleni ,2nd house of the street from the top,5rooms house,well built,rough cut,peach painted,well paved,well fanced,safely secured gates black in colour,ceiled roofing,curtained windows,quality timber doors,well luxury furnished,first room,brown carbinets,silver zinc,white ceremic tiles... (She gets interrupted). Prosecutor:That isnt necessary Mrs Sikhonde... (She gets interrupted). Judge:let her proceed council. Thoko:11:50 in the morning *tears drop* Prosecutor:If this makes you so truamatized and emotional,WHY didnt you divorce your husband instead of KILLING him? Thoko:I wish it was that simple .Council Grootboom are you married? Prosecutor:No. Thoko:Do you come from a married couple and perhaps was raised by both parents? (It touches her ,triggers deeply in her heart hhmm its a story for another day and she roughly replies). Prosecutor:We are not here to discuss my personal life Mrs Sikhonde (with anger),are we clear? Thoko:Ngyaxolisa but I want to explain to you and the court of law the inability of simplicity of divorce in this case.Hence I do not deny killing him kodwa ngnike ithuba ngichaze ukuthi kungani ngenze yonke lento.
