#Insert 27 The room was so quiet that you couldve heard a needle or pin drop. Everyone was looking at me, still in shock. I then said; Me:Themba, I know what we agreed on but I will not let your mother disrespect me like that. If she doesnt want our child, which is her grandchild, then she should say so. Thembas dad:young girl, sit down and calm down. I apologise for my wifes behaviour. Wena Themba, wenzeni le ntombazana? Themba looked down and didnt say anything until his dad shouted at him to speak. Themba:baba iqiniso, everything she said is true. I wanted to secure her cos I love her. So I figured that giving her my child will always bind us together somehow. His moms face looked like it was about to drop on the face of the Earth, the woman was so embarrassed. She then asked to be excused and left us in there. I told my mom that we accomplished what we came for and I didnt want to stay in that house any minute longer. She agreed and we bid everyone goodbye. The way back home was a long and quiet one. It was really awkward until I decide to break the silence and speak to mom. Me:mommy I apologise for what happened back there and Im sorry for not being honest with you. I was still not over the trauma and I wanted you to digest the news of the pregnancy first before telling you how the baby was conceived. Please forgive me. Mom:youre right, you had to be honest about everything. But as for your behaviour back there, dont apologise for anything. That woman deserved it and I love how you stood up for yourself. I certainly taught you well, after all, youve learnt from the best. We laughed and I gave her a kiss on the cheek. My mom was the best. She then asked if I was hungry and I thought she would never ask. I wanted all sorts of things at once but I was craving for hotwings the most. We then went to buy them and I ate a whole box of them alone. My mom just laughed at me and said I should take it easy if I still wanted to fit through the door. We then got home and we were really exhausted from the days activities. I was physically and emotionally drained. I then went to take a shower and left my phone on the charger. When I was done I went to check it and I found I had 3 missed calls from Njabulo and 2 missed calls from Themba. I decided to return Thembas missed calls for now and return Njabulos the next day. Themba:hi Cheryl, my mom asked that you guys meet during the weekend, she wants to apologise. Me:oh, apologise huh? Ok, Ill let my mom know but we not coming to your house, she should come to ours. Themba:ok Ill tell her. Goodnight. We then said our goodbyes and hung up. I told my mom and she said she was looking forward to it. She then left for her room and went to sleep. I stayed behind because I wanted to munch on something again before going to bed. I finished eating, washed the dishes then retreated to my room. My eyes were barely open and as soon as my head touched the pillow, I fell asleep.... ---To be continued---
