InshaAllah the Islamic Month of Dhul Hijjah starts on Sun 6th Oct, Arafat Day on Mon 14th & Eid on Tue 15th (subject to moonsighting). "There are No days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these 10 days." [Bukhari] "There are No days greater in the sight of Allah (including Ramadan) & in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these 10 days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel ("La ilaha illAllah"), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Al Hamdu Lil-lah)." [Ahmad] A Sunnah of the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam): "When you see the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, if any one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, then he should stop cutting his hair and nails until he has offered his sacrifice." [Muslim] Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah. He (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year." [Muslim] "There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying, ‘What do these people want?’" [Muslim] Takbeer of Tashreeq: After each Fardh Salaah Recite from Fajr of 9th Dhul Hijjah until Asr of 13th: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaha illAllahu, WAllahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Wa Lil-lahil-hamd (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah; Allah is the Greatest and to Allah be all praise)." Make the most of these precious days.
