Inside Northern Kentucky Football has it all covered for you. Let’s take a look at the Week 8 results. Beechwood 56 Dayton 0 Beechwood has been the class of single A football since Newcath went to 2A, and it was more of the same from the Tigers this past week in a rout of the Panthers. The Tigers led 42-0 at the half behind three first half touchdown passes from sophomore quarterback Kyle Fieger to Max Shover (23 yards), Jalen Hayden (53 yards), and Jeremy Burns (24 yards). Beechwood has now won 30 consecutive games against Northern Kentucky 1A opponents. Bellevue 64 Dayton 0 The black and gold Tigers secured a home playoff game and #2 seed in the playoffs with the blowout win over Dayton. The Bellevue offense racked up 426 yards of total offense, while allowing just 16 yards on defense, including negative -23 yards rushing. Senior quarterback Tyler Ackerson finishing 11 of 19 passing for 177 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing 4 times for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. While Ackerson completed a pass to 4 different receivers, Blake Stephenson was his favorite target with 4 catches for 69 yards and 2 scores. Alec Harezes led the defense with a fumble recovery for a defense. Bellevue finishes the regular season 5-5 and will host Eminence in the first round of the playoffs. Campbell County 31 Boone County 14 The Camels improved their record to 6-3 and have now won three consecutive games to wrap up the #2 seed in the district and home playoff game for the third straight season. The Camel offense used a very balanced attack with 264 rushing yards and 218 passing yards. Brandon Morris led the rushing attack with 12 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Avery Wood and running back Alex Howard combined for 130 yards and a touchdown on 35 carries. Wood finished 9 of 22 passing for 218 yards and a touchdown. Senior Nate Hess was solid out wide for the Camels finishing with 5 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown. The Camel defense limited the Boone offense to 199 yards. Cincinnati Elder 30 Highlands 27 The Birds traveled across the river to “The Pit” to take on the Panthers and came home with their first loss of the season as they couldn’t mount a late rally for the win. The Birds offense was limited to 316 yards and just 37 on the ground, despite Zach Harris rushing 15 times for 77 yards. Drew Houliston finished 20 of 36 passing for 279 yards and 2 scores, but also had an interception and negative -40 yards rushing on 8 carries.
