What is the both the transcendental-theological and the Global-historical significance of the Holy Name HARI, that Sri Sri Gaura-Nitais non-sectarian Sankirtan Movement should be referred to as the HARI NAMA Sankirtan Movement? Gaudiya Vaishnavas may understand the Holy Name HARI to be an important Name of Sri Krishna. Some Devotees may also understand that HARI, in its meaning of golden is a cognate of GAURA. Some Devotees may recognize that the Holy Name HARI is contained in the Sanskrit-related words for HEART, such as HARI-daya, HRI-daya (KARDIA, CARDIO) or HRID (HEART). Of course HARI (Krishna) is also the Original Supreme Personality of Godhead as Rasa Raja, the Lord of the Heart, Who is the Raja Ruler of all Rasa Flavors of Divine Love! But what is, or are, the most primary and essential meaning(s) of the Holy Name HARI? Is this Name also the all-Attracting KR root within the Name KRISHNA or Sam-KARSHANA? Is HARI the Name of the Lord as LOVE, HIMSELF? Astoundingly, if we humbly consider the prevalence and distribution of Krishnas / Haris Holy Name throughout the ancient World, we can hardly find another Holy Name so universally written or invoked by people of every language, tribe or culture!
