Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained; 2. Using Translation Memory software - such as SDL Trados to ensure consistency of translation within documents and aid efficiency; 3. Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used; 4. Using appropriate software for running translation process; 5. Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation; 6. Liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points; 7. Proofreading and editing final translated versions; 8. Creating error reports and revision reports on translators 9. Providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document; 10. Using the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process; 11. Prioritizing work to meet deadlines; 12. Consulting with experts in specialist areas; 13. Retaining and developing specialist knowledge on specialist areas of translation; 14. Following various translation-qualities. Qualifications: • Ability to work under pressure. • University degree or equivalent in area of specialty. • At least 2 years of experience as a professional translator. • Hard worker. • Fluent in English. • Accuracy, concentration, efficiency. • Attention to details. • Excellent presentation and communication skills. • Able to meet with deadlines.
