Instead of taking Cliven Bundy’s comments in context, the media is hoping to create controversy and move attention away from the fact the U.S. government sent hundreds of armed men to a nearly 70 year old citizen’s property to collect a bill. Forget the land dispute issue, or Cliven Bundy’s fairly or unfairly viewed words, and focus on that single, indisputable fact. When citizens stand by and simply shrug as armed soldiers are storming a rancher’s home, America is no longer the America we once knew, and we would all do well to wonder then what kind of America is being left for our children and grandchildren, and how soon before you and yours are staring down the barrel of a government gun as well? -UM
