"Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs." Isaiah 61:7 What do I have in my flesh? Shame, disgrace..not one good thing do I hold in my hand to offer Him, not one. All my righteousness? Filthy rags. All in me that is good is Jesus, not me. He made that exchange, on the cross, that exchange that brought me a double portion, an inheritance, and best of all, everlasting joy!! He is living in me to work and do His will! What a Savior! How can I not bend the knee, now my heart, and let Him have his way in me. Oh Lord, sweep out those sins hidden in the corners of my heart for so long, let nothing hold back your everlasting joy from me! Wash this vessel until it is clean. Thank you for your death on the cross, exchanging my shame and disgrace for every good thing in You. You truly are an extravagant God.
