Instead of worring about what Alderman display, perhaps we should worry about the actual health and safety concerns? Yet, that is where the rub lies. In order to solve the health and safety issues raised by Alderman Lillian Schneider, we have to spend even more money. That places fellow alderman like myself in the difficult postion to answer this question proposed by many: Why are we building a park in TIF #16 with mainly TIF #3 funds when we cannot maintain the streets, curbs and sidewalks? Why cannot we make the city safe? BTW: As City crews erect a flag pole and a public event is once agin planned. I hear it first in the BND rather than the City Administration. as I have said: What a shame our City Government has come to, To those in the know and those not in the know, including Aldermen who were elected by the people and each one of us are 1/16th of the corporate board!
