See the below information about the course: Background IPCS The Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) was established at the University of Hargeisa in January, 2008, as a product of a joint initiative between the University of Hargeisa and Eastern Mennonite University in the United States. The institute is also a partner with the United Nations University for Peace (upeace.org) in Costa Rica. Currently, the IPCS is run by University of Hargsiesa (UoH) because the Institute shifted from Donor support to local funds of the UoH. On the other hand, IPCS is the first institute that focuses on studies and academic research in the areas of peace and conflict within the entire Somali-speaking community in the Horn of Africa. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Environment and Sustainable Development; International Cooperation and Development from the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan. He holds a Higher Diploma in Natural Resource Management from Pan African Insitute of Development for West Africa. Tazoacha Francis has worked with NGOs and also a university lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources in the University Institute of Buea Diocese, Cameroon. He has also lectured in the School of Agriculture and Environmental Studies in the University of the Gambia, Banjul. He has written and published many articles and books on environment and sustainable development. His latest book published is: Climate Change Implication on Forests Resource Management: The Case of Lebialem Division – Cameroon. He is currently working on another book titled: The Susceptibility of the Gambia to Climate Change Effects.
