Interesting Projections from a 2012 USC study about California Demographics: From 2010 to 2030, we will add 7.4 Million people to the state (for total of 44.75M), of which 4.2 Million will be OVER 65 yrs old, zero growth under 24 yrs olds, adding just 1 Million of the 25-34 yrs olds, and adding only 2.2 Million to the economically most productive group of 35-64 yr olds. Big implications for the housing and mortgage markets. Seniors will need lots of govt resources and will gradually sell their homes will few new buyers coming behind them...the Golden State will soon look very different...
