Interesting article, Just how much time and resources should we spend on somebodies Mathematical pipe dream, It seems theoretical Physics is turning into theoretical Mathematics, with elaborate mathematical constructs developed to support elaborate theories. Some are tantalizing in context but would require billions of dollars to prove or disapprove. The days of muttering And yet it moves (Yes, I know he never really said it) with proof obtained from relatively straightforward observations are over. The pay offs could be enormous travel to the stars, unlimited energy...When does research turn into the search for the white whale?
