Interesting article about current education trends and the fact that the world is changing faster than we have the ability to teach if we continue using traditional schedules of education. We certainly cant wait for four years of college to be completed before being allowed to make an impact on the world. Four years is no longer the same as four years a decade ago. Technology has accelerated nearly every aspect of life which means traditional education timelines will need to change if we intend to remain effectively engaged. The culture lab is the latest indication that learning is changing in America. It cannot happen too fast. We may not be getting dumber in America. But we need to get smarter in ways that match the challenges we now face. The time is now to support the role of learning in the pursuit of discovery and to embrace the powerful agency of culture.
