Interesting day. I thought witnessing that MVA was going to be the highlight of my day. So cruising home from Gallup and I look in my rear view mirror and see this little red car in the other lane coming up on me very fast. Next thing I knew he was whizzing past me, staying in the wrong lane (a young kid driving). He stayed in that lane through dbl yllw line intersection, passing another car swerving back in the right lane just before on oncoming car comes. Then hes way ahead in the other lane again just passing everyone like were still, and hes gone. A few miles later, I see him on the side of the road taking a piss. We all pass him. Driving thru Ganado and some red fire trucks pull out with lights flashing and coming up behind me, a ways back so I didnt need to pull over yet. Keeping my eye on them, and all of a sudden I seen this little red car go speeding past the fire trucks, and a lighted up police SUV chasing him. They pass all of us, the car not stopping, and theyre over the hill. I come to the roundabout and see them turning to Chinle. The first part of that road is a straight 6 miles so Im watching the police chase and lose them over the hill, but that little red car is still speeding ahead of the police. Several more miles I come upon the police SUV on the side of the road with lights flashing, as I pass slowly I see the cop standing at back of his vehicle with something in his hand ready to cross the road. But wheres the little red car????? Thats a mystery Ill wonder about for a long time.
