Interesting developments in the 2013 Annexation which was blocked by Anderson. Anderson challenged the Annexation and won in a Hamilton County Court ruling. Now the Indiana Court of Appeals has overturned that ruling agreeing with Lapels stance that Anderson had no right to challenge the annexation. So for now the 2013 blocking strip annexation that was initiated by land owners to block future attempts by the City of Anderson to annex all the way to I69 south of Lapel is legal again. Who knows if this battle is over .... or even if it matters if the second Annexation by Lapel goes ahead as planned later this year south of Town.
