Interesting night. I spent the evening at Mac Alley Studios some of the finishing tracks were being done on Wayne Allchin `s CD. The (Wayne Allchin Band) has been working really hard and went into the studio very rehearsed and prepared. The tracks for the CD were smokin`. I`ve heard them many times live. But this was all their own tunes, no covers. This is going to be a very cool new chapter for these guys. Bill Fuhrer and Aaron TheGator Shelemey are really seasoned guys. The effort put into these tracks is reflected in the enthusiasm you can hear in the music. Some really well written and played songs. Ian McArthur has got a very cool attitude about this CD. He is not going to produce it to death. He has really captured the band as you will hear them. They are not building a studio project that needs a band of 20 guys to replicate the sound. This sounds like 3 guys period. He has brought out their original sound, the guys had to polish it themselves. No pitch correction, no cut and paste tracks. This CD rocks. Better yet when you hear it live, it will all sound authentic. It was fun being there, I appreciate the guys and Ian inviting me out. It`s such a cool process to see and hear behind the scenes. The finished product is getting close. Ian and BeatleJuice Soundman are a couple seasoned vets in the recording studio. Their guidance and style have been really helpful for the band. They have the talent, but the producer can add so much to bring out the best in their performance. These guys brought only their instruments to the studio. Left any ego behind. They came to record and learn. You can hear it! You will hear it!
