Interesting observation: more & more kids dont know how to have open-ended play. Am I so old school in assuming that kids will know how to build a tower with blocks or pretend Legos can be transformed into a swimming pool, a tree or pyramid? Or that a random toy box isnt a box full of random toys but rather a zoo, farm, store or..... This is my 8th year of preschool and Ive realized a lot has changed in that short time. We (myself included) have come to rely on the benefits of technology so much that our imaginations have become limited. Just an observation :)
