Interestingly enough I viewed this video on a site called littlethings - if you skim down through the comments youll see such negativity all oriented around the fact that one of these performers is wearing a cowboy hat in church. Just more proof that instead of focusing on the BIG picture - this great Christmas song with beautiful harmonies and melodies sweeping through this lovely little church - people get so caught up on the little things. Its things like this, molehills that are made into mountains, that paint cultural Christians in a bad light to those who are not believers. YES, many of us were raised culturally to believe that wearing a hat inside a church building was bad etiquette. But the big missed point in all of that is that by teaching generation after generation that it is a sign of respect (to the Lord) to remove your head covering when you enter a building...weve place more importance on the building. The Church is not made up from wood and stone, walls and beams, but of people who live and breathe. Whether one of those LIVING stones wears a hat or not is irrelevant.
