International Coastal Cleanup September 21, 2013 The International Coastal Cleanup hosted worldwide by Ocean Conservancy for 26 consecutive years, will be held this year on September 21, 2013. As part of this initiative, the New Jersey Clean Communities Council will host a statewide cleanup of waterways on September 21st. njclean.org/2013-ICC/index.html The Clean Communities Council will host cleanups in New Jersey on September 21st as part of the worldwide International Coastal Cleanup. We are actively soliciting volunteers to clean beaches, bays, rivers, lakes and streams on September 21st through November 1st . Volunteers can join other volunteers at the sites listed on our website at njclean.org the cleanups, or select their own sites. The ICC Cleanup is part of our obligation to administer New Jersey’s Adopt-a-Beach program on behalf of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. The Clean Communities Council is also partnering with the NJ Department of Transportation to resurrect New Jersey’s Adopt-a-Highway program.
