You are! We are looking for young, fresh voices from people currently making contributions to Adaptation to Change via either your individual work or as part of your organization’s work in the fields of science, policy and practical implementation. If you’re a young academic, your research findings might help inform current understandings of change in the mountains; if you’re a young policy maker, it might be your work on helping nations or communities adapt to change; if you’re working on the ground in a practical capacity, you might explain how your work or innovations are helping people adapt to change. What do I need to do to enter? Please submit a 400-word abstract for your poster, which should clearly relate to one or more of the conference themes, via this submission form. You may also upload an optional rough visual sketch of your poster plan.” When is the deadline? All submissions must be made by 15 August, 2014, 5PM (Nepal Standard Time). When can I expect a reply? Successful applicants will be notified by email by 26 September. How will the poster presenters be selected? A panel of five experts from within ICIMOD will review all submissions and make the selections. Are presentations funded? There will be a limited amount of funding available on need basis, but it will not be possible to provide full support to all presenters. Will participating lead to future opportunities? All poster presenters will receive a certificate of participation, and the 5 best posters will be selected for writing full papers, with possibilities of publication.
