International Nilüfer Guitar Competition which held in Bursa/ Turkey. There will be two different categories as “performing” and “composing for guitar” Composing for guitar April 16-20/ 2015 Performing Competition April 16-19/2015 There is no age limit in this competition. Participants expected to show their musicianship, technique and variety of repertoire. First Round (Max) 10 min Second Round (Max) 15 min Final Round (Max) 20 min 1st place $2400 US dollars 2nd place $1200 US dollars 3rd place $600 US dollars All three winners will have a chance to perform approximately one hour recital for the 2016 Nilüfer Guitar competition plus guitars made by excellent Turkish guitar makers Orhan Ümmetler, Arif Türker Gündoğdu, Ejder Pamukçu. The contestant’s name or the song name must not be mentioned apart from where necessary. • The nickname must not bear any words, letters or numbers which might indicate the contestant’s own name or the name of the song. • The audio recordings of the songs will be uploaded in midi, mp3, wma or wav formats and the notation in pdf. The songs can also be sent through Sibelius or finale. • The contestants are considered to agree to the terms of the contest. • The award-winning contestants are considered to agree to provide permission to Uludağ University and Nilüfer Municipality for the dissemination of their songs as Uludağ University and Nilüfer Municipality publications. • The winning songs will be announced at the ceremony on 19 April 2015 The prize money and the documentation will be sent to the address of choice of the composer of the award-winning song unless the contestant is present at Nilüfer Guitar Days. Accommodation Free accommodation will be provided in some dormitories on university campus prioritizing the guests from abroad. Additionally, we will be able to host you in some students’ flats and by some families free of charge. Hotels are also available with a price range between 60 and 80 TLs. We can also eat in Görükle, the neighboring town. How to reach Bursa: There are two airports in İstanbul - Sabiha Gökçen and Atatürk. I recommend Sabiha Gökçen since it is the closer one to Bursa. There are three options after your arrival in İstanbul. No matter which option you choose, we will pick you up in Bursa, so all you need to do is to inform us about your arrival details. 1. This is the easiest way after your arrival at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. There are direct buses from the airport to Bursa run by “AKMİS SEYEHAT”. Details available here:sabihagokcen.aero/passengers-and-visitors/transport-and-parking/transportation/akmis-travel. The ride takes approx. 2:30 hours and you arrive at Bursa Terminal where we will pick you up. 2. You need to take the metro after you arrive at Atatürk Airport and get off at Esenler Coach Station where you will take a bus to Bursa. Some bus companies: Nilüfer, Kamil Koç, Ulusoy, Uludağ, Metro. The ride takes approx. 3:30hours and you arrive at Bursa Terminal where we will pick you up. 3. You need to take the metro after you arrive at Atatürk Airport and get off at Aksaray Station. Then, you need to take a taxi to Yenikapı Port (İstanbul Deniz Otobüsleri [İDO]) which will cost approx. 5 Euros or 15TLs. The departures and more info here: ido.tr/en The only possible problem with this option is that the departures may be cancelled in rough weather conditions. In such a case, you need to consider option 1 or 2. If the weather is good the voyage takes approx. 1:45 hours and you arrive at Bursa Port where we will pick you up.
