International Symposium on Groundwater Resources in Varying Environment: Opportunities and Challenges We are very pleased to inform that Department of Hydraulics & Hydrology, Faculty of Civil Engineering is going to arrange International Symposium on Groundwater Resources in Varying Environment: Opportunities and Challenges on 11-13 August 2014. The symposium will be sponsored by Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research (Japan) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The objective of the symposium is to initiate regional cooperation among South and Southeast Asian countries to improve knowledge on impacts and adaptations to climate and other environmental changes on groundwater resources. Seven prominent researchers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China and Indonesia will attend the symposium as invited speakers. The registration for the symposium is free for UTM academics and graduate students, but restricted to researchers whose research interest is related to water resources or climate.
