Introduction Of Cultism in Oruku. We the administrators of this site wish to express our displeasure and condemnation of the current spate of violence in Oruku following the introduction of cultism in our community . we wish to condemn the incident of few days ago where someone was narrowly buttered to death by these irresponsible cultist. we wish to remind them that Oruku is currently going through a turbulent period because of Umuode wahalla and that Ani Oruku will avenge any of their brutal activity. the worst is that some of the cultist are secondary school students, and some undergraduates. our youths who are our leader of tomorrow have imported terror into the community by bringing cultism into the community. some of these criminals never do well in their class and school activities because they chose cultism instead of their studies. All Oruku men and women ar hereby called upon to rise up against this new trend and criminal group in Oruku. Cultism was outlawed by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as ammended. we also call on the present leadership of Oruku Town Union to rise to their feet and battle these terror group now that they ar at their infant stage by rounding theise criminals up and hand them over to police. a stich in time saves nine. Hon Okey Adeny did it in 2008 when some youths went to Esusu for initiation, he intervened early and the culprits were rounded up and ostracised for some months. similarly when some youths formed a gang of Okada snatchers and armed robbers , he respnded again on time and arrested their kingpin who are currently in custody in 2009. after these two incidents Oruku breathed air of peace. the current leadership of Oruku Town Union should emulate Hon Okey Adenyi if they love Oruku. parents are also advised to monitor their wards and children in schools and Universities. the youths of Oruku especially Student of colleges and Universities should know that what the community want from them is honour and not cultism. People like HRH Igwe Nomeh, Engr Raymond Okenwa, Engr Chris Nnamchi, Moses Okoh, Deniis Okoh, Hon. Godwin Nnaji ochiliozuon Sylvanus Ogbu, Osita Onuma and many other graduates from Oruku did not brought cultism to Oruku instead they brought honour to the community but wrote the name of the community in gold. the cultist should also know that Ani Oruku shall and has always revenged against anyone who spilled the blood of a fellow Oruku man or woman
