Investigators from the Rancho San Diego Sheriffs Station want the publics help to identify and locate the suspect wanted in connection with using credit card information without authorization. Take a good look at this hotel surveillance video where you can see and hear the suspect. While the crime took place in the East County, investigators say the suspect could be anywhere in the county. On July 27, 2014, an unknown suspect began using information from a credit card to make several online purchases. The victim was not missing the actual credit card, but the credit card number was used without authorization. The unknown suspect used the credit card number to book hotel rooms on the Hotels website, buy items online at Sears, and order pizza. A total of about $900 was charged to the credit card. Hotel surveillance video shows the suspect with two other unidentified people eating pizza in a parking lot. The suspect is described as a white female, possibly in her 50s, with dirty blonde hair. She was wearing a black and gray striped tank top. The suspect was driving an older model, green, four-door car with a sunroof. It may have been a Toyota Corolla or similar looking car with partial plate number 5FWA or 5EWA. Two other people are seen in the surveillance video. At this time, the man and woman are not considered suspects. Detectives would like to speak to them to find out more information about the suspect. Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call the Rancho San Diego Sheriffs Station at (619) 660-7090 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent via sdcrimestoppers.org.
