Inviting my facebook friends to the Fiji Airways Melbourne Invitational rugby 7s tournament, if you happen to be in Melbourne on that day...... The Melbourne Fiji Rugby Club invites each of you to our Fiji Airways Melbourne Invitational Rugby 7s Tournament which will be held on the 28th of September 2013, at Boxhill rugby ground. This event is sponsored by the Fiji Airways Airline, Australian Multicultural Ethnic Affairs, Money Gram, Patterson Cheney Toyota (Dandenong), and TJM Equipped Dandenong There will be 16 teams participating in the tournament, competing for the $20,000 prize money. Most participating teams have players who have taken part in the most recent IRB 7s series. The tournament will finish off with a dinner dance on the night with a live band and a DJ. The function will be held at St Bridget hall North Fitzroy. This is the only time where all people of the South Pacific and Fijian community can come, meet and celebrate our love of Rugby 7s together.
