Iris Stump Debbie Castle and anyone else whos into sewing - my stepmom has lent me her universal sewing machine - its great but I need something with more options, so Ive been researching machines for over a month and Im just getting so overwhelmed with all of the choices! The features I want are (for under $350): 1. Walking foot INCLUDED 2. Expandable shelf thingy (will come in handy when I’m doing a project that is big) 3. Lots of stitches (scallops, hearts, etc I like the cutesy ones for baby stuff) 4. Basic alphabet/monogramming 5. Drop in bobbin- not necessary but most of the new ones have it these days 6. EASY to use!!!!!! with GOOD support - tutorials, etc. 7. Free hand quilting (not a necessity but it would be really fun to play with it and get good at for the baby blankets and stuff) 8. The singer one has a cool feature that I kinda want now – it has the ability to make those crochet holes – and since I’m making a lot of baby stuff these days that would be nice to be able to make the burp cloths and what not to sell or give away 9. Easy Button holes 10. THE MOST BANG FOR MY CHEAP BUCK! Mom, Im still planning on going to Ogden to go see what that guy has for sale at the sewing machine repair place you like, but just in case that doesnt work out... thanks ladies!
