Irving residents can enjoy an opportunity to celebrate Asian culture during the annual Dragon Boat, Kite and Lantern Festival from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 18 in the Las Colinas Urban Center, 200 E. Las Colinas Blvd. Activities include a kite flying competition, a Chinese shuttlecock demonstration and competition, traditional performances featuring 15 countries, an Asian culture class, gondola cruises and hourly raffle drawings. Food vendors will be onsite with a variety of ethnic cuisine. The event is free and hosted by the Marco Polo World Foundation. For more information, visit dfwdragonboatfestival.
