Is America smart enough to survive? I hope so. America is an idea, not an outline on a map. America is the idea that everyone can be confident in doing anything they wish, so long as they hurt noone else, because they know that they will receive a proper, random jury trial and therefore cannot be arbitrarily punished (so long as they are brave, and willing to stand up to arbitrary power of the power-seeking sociopaths). Although this powerful guarantee no longer exists in the USA, it is possible to restore this guarantee. This is the sum total of the legitimate libertarian movement in the USA. Everything else is inconsequential.
