Is Gideon a Christian band? We get asked this occasionally, because quite frankly our lyrics are not words coming straight from a hymnal. The answer is yes, we are. Do we view our stage as a platform to share our beliefs with every single person we come in contact with? Not really, but we would be happy to talk at any time about it. We would never talk poorly on a band that does take this approach, but its not our personal approach. If you walked up to a member of our band and said, Lets talk about God., we would 100% be ecstatic to! We just have never viewed our music as something only relatable to Christians. When we started this band, we set out to write music that people could relate to, Christian or non-Christian. We want to have music that people can relate to in times of triumph, in times of hurt, or just because they think its heavy, whatever it may be. There are songs we have written that a Christian could consider very spiritual, and the same song an Atheist may consider very motivational. This has always been what we want to get across. No matter what race, belief, gender, or whatever subject you may enter here, all are welcome to listen to Gideon :). Our mindset has always been the same, and will remain the same as we get ready to put out our 3rd full length record. All bands do things differently, and we are not the type to discuss who is doing it right and wrong, but one thing we can say is that we feel like we are about to put out the strongest record of our bands career. Lyrically, Musically, Instrumentally, it is without a doubt something we are very proud of. We love and appreciate all of you, and cannot wait to share with you this next chapter of Gideon!
