Is Heb 10:26 a scary passage for you? 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins, If you are a believer it shouldnt be, I mean if it is saying that theres no atonement for wilful sin, were all in trouble. If youre sinning it is wilful. Heres how the Life Application study bible, teaches this scripture: When people deliberately reject Christs offer for salvation, they reject Gods most precious gift. They ignore the leading the Holy Spirit, the one who communicates to us Gods saving love This warning was give to Jewish Christians who were tempted to reject Christ for Judaism, but it applies to anyone who rejects Christ for another religion, or having understood Christs atoning work, deliberately turns from it. The point is that there is no other acceptable sacrifice for sin than the death of Christ on the Cross. If a person deliberately rejects the sacrifice of Christ after clearly understanding the Good News teaching about it, then there is now way for that person to be saved, because God has not provided any other name in all of Heaven for people to all on to save them. Truly this gift of salvation, is all about Jesus and His finished work. This scripture isnt about your ability to live up to some moral code, but its a warning to those who would reject this one sacrifice. Those who have been perfected in love, does not fear.
