Is fear keeping you from going in and possessing the land God has promised you? THE LORD OUR GOD SPOKE TO US AT HOREB, SAYING, “YOU HAVE STAYED LONG ENOUGH AT THIS MOUNTAIN. ‘TURN AND SET YOUR JOURNEY, AND GO TO THE HILL COUNTRY…. “SEE, I HAVE PLACED THE LAND BEFORE YOU; GO IN AND POSSESS THE LAND WHICH THE LORD SWORE TO GIVE TO YOUR FATHERS, TO ABRAHAM, TO ISAAC, AND TO JACOB, TO THEM AND THEIR DESCENDANTS AFTER THEM”. DEUTERONOMY 1:6-8 The promise in this Scripture is for you because you are a descendant of Abraham; he is your father of faith. Numerous fears can come against us. Our goal is to focus on the fears that keep us from doing what God has called us to do, the fears that keep us in the wilderness and out of the Promised Land. We also want to learn to recognize when fear is trying to influence our choices and decisions. It is difficult to live victoriously in this world without an active position against the spirit of fear. Spending time in the presence of the Lord and asking Him to reveal your fears will give you insight as to where you are to start. If you do not readily recognize any fears, that is okay. Investing time into learning how to recognize fear will help you to see things that may not be clear to you now. As you submit yourself to the Holy Spirit, He will help you to know the truth that will set you free from your biggest fears. Like the Israelites, you have inherited the Promised Land, which God has provided. Yours is a spiritual place of love, peace, and joy. It is impossible to enjoy this life with excessive fear surrounding you. God says you have stayed on this mountain long enough and He is ready to take you to a high place. Do you ever feel as if you have been stuck in the same place, battling the same problems forever? God is ready to move you into a new place!! There is no doubt as to the nature of His promise. God desires for you to live the abundant life He has made available to His people. The time has come to Conquer Fear!
