Is feeling very good after helping a very scared & very cold puppy who was lost and running around the streets of airport heights after he broke one end of his leash off ....I chased him in my car and got out twice to grab him, but he bolted - on the third attempt I got ahold of his lead, and calmed him down - poor thing was shivering and oh so scared..,I coaxed him to my car...my daughter in the front seat was so happy he was safe with us..( she kept saying he was going to get hit by a car cause he was all over the road)...I wasnt sure what I was going to do with him, ( no tags!) started to drive home figuring hed stay with us till I contacted the shelters to see if he was reported missing...Erin noticed a man walking along the road about 5 minutes later -seeming to be looking for something....I pulled over and asked youre not looking for a dog are you?? he looked very stressed and said yes - when the dog jumped up at the window- the man broke out in a big smile & said Thank God you got him!!!!...I thought he was going to cry...He said he broke off the lead 30minutes prior, and he very worried because he was not used to traffic & it was so cold...he thanked us a million times- I told him it was our pleasure to help but please get tags!!!! It would be so much easier to find you!!! Anyhoo myself & Erin high fived each other and she said Mom it feels so good to have helped that poor puppy find his home - yes Erin, it does feel good indeed :)
