Is it just me? Or are the NYPD acting like children? I cannot believe they are not embarrassed by these childlike displays. It seems to me real men would get up each day confident in their actions. They would have no need for such playground style bullying. Seems to me like there is an exposed nerve here. Maybe all those things we hear about this PD Subculture of us against them and lets stick together even when we know were wrong are true. At a minimum, these new officers lack the common sense to not publicly grow the divide between policy makers and the street beat cops. I feel Commissioner Gordon wouldnt be one of the sheep turning their backs on a political figure in order to shame them. He would be working within the department seeking out the incorruptible. He would stand up and fight against the murder of any civilian. He would not break the law but work well within it. If you think you are treated too harshly, implement more transparency. Educate people so they can appreciate the good you do. DO NOT maintain silence when you see wrong doing and DO NOT point the finger at anyone other than the guilty.
