Is it just me or does anyone else find the re-enactment of D Day somewhat macabre. Are the Germans going to re-enact their bit? It is certainly a historic day that changed the future of this planet and I can understand it being commemorated with wreaths for the fallen on both sides and we need to learn the lessons of history because we are in real danger of going down a similar path right now - so it is a timely warning, a time for deep sadness and soul searching on all sides to prevent anything similar ever happening again. But to dress up and re-enact? It doesnt seem right.
