Is it not unlawful to be displaying people arrested to press especially when investigations have not been concluded?. Those being paraded by our journalist and camera men in the front pages of our major dallies are the common citizens or well to do and rich Nigerians in majority of the cases?. let our mainstream journalist concentrate more on what is going on in our offices, house of senate, representatives and assembly houses. Most of the people paraded on the newspapers are those who government have refused to feed and give jobs to. Is it not much more better to display the people charged or found guilty on the press?.. If these people are now found by court to be innocent, how will police correct the damage they have done with their negative publication? .Is it a common practice by most of the dailies in Nigeria to put the pictures of suspects whose cases have not yet been determined by the courts?.. The question now is if some of these people that are displayed to the press are later released without being charged or found guilty why would they not make claims in civil courts against the Nigerian Police force for characters assassination. Every Nigerian matters and nobody should be above the law
