Is it reasonable for a ticket inspector to imply he is a fascist? Context: Yesterday I forgot to ay for a ticket on a short journey carrying a tonne of stuff from town, I am poor and wanted to save the fare for food. The inspector and his sidekick detained me and threatened violence, they stole my stuff and said theyd send it to lost property. I told them they were behaving like fascists and one of them said maybe I am a fascist. This was a stop by uni and frequented by students. He called the transport police to check my address and claimed it was false, it was not. He seized my bank card and detained me after I had left the station. Now I would have paid him if hed been polite but as soon as he mentioned he might be a fascist there was no way I wanted to be around him. He was abusive and used the threat of force from the off next to a railway track that has high speed trains passing through, surely not a place for restraining people. Is this worth kicking up a fuss over? It was one stop, a three minute journey worth two quid.
