Is it surprising how some Mashaykh & Daees get imprisoned, constantly harassed by the kuffar authorities & media, deported, passports stripped, family threatened... whilst other big Scholars are totally unimpeded, travel the world freely in lavish conferences, casually distort daleel to give credence to the secular framework, the kuffar media & governments barely batting an eyelid at their Dawah, or perhaps even promoting them. Theres a big difference between the two categories. We should be wise in where we derive our knowledge from, & to which extent to take from certain figures. The best example of course is Rasulullah Sallalahu alayhi wa-sallam & the treatment he received from the kuffar, the obstacles & sufferings. The Scholars are the direct inheritors of his legacy; not just limited to raw knowledge, but the consequences that come with carrying the pristine truth.
