Is that the sun rising, or just going down? Did the world stop spinning, or is it still turning round? Are the winds still blowing, helping birds in their flight? Are the stars still like beacons in the darkness of night? Has the grass lost its color, has the sky lost its blue? Do the sounds of the world still ring loud and true? Do friends still remember? Does the breeze still bring life? Is the trial still raging with its troubles and strife? Has my soul stopped existing in the world we call home? Have my friends gathered round me, or am I alone? I would answer these questions if my eyes could but see........but dying has taken my vision from me. With all that Im losing, and all thats been lost; My sight is still set on the Lord, at all cost. The doorway is looming, its opening soon. I pray that in Heaven, for me, theyll make room. To all that Ive cherished, and all that Ive known, my journeys soon over and Im going home. Dont cry for my passing, though sad you may be. Im starting to live in a world you cant see. My lifes nearly over, and soon I shall leave. Death has no victory, so dear friend, dont grieve.
