Is the Pull Up or Chin Up an exercise you hate because you cant do it? One of the ways strength is achieved is by working eccentrically which is putting in the effort in the lowering phase of the exercise. By whatever means necessary get yourself up - use a step ladder if you want! Then take as long as you can to lower. Repeat as many times as possible and youll soon develop upper body pulling strength.
