THE EXAMINATION I have always treated matters related to my academics seriously and placed great significance on them. Rumors of this Engineering exam has been spreading like wildfire for some time and i have treated it with levity. Perhaps, I was still neck-deep in the euphoria of attending one of the greatest institutions of learning in the world. I have written memos, set alarms and tried to study for it at night, each time i would only find myself awake, stretching, and yawning and wishing day break can be delayed for a while. One question that keeps baffling me was how this exam was scheduled during the almighty #frosh and students orientation week. Arriving at the proposed exam venue, i felt very confident that this was just a rumor and that it might just be a meeting if some sort. To my chagrin, i was handed a question paper as i entered the almost-filled 700-capacity auditorium. I was short of words, I mustered some courage and found an empty seat. To make matters worse, the examiner announced Please be advised that Mcgill University does not condone any form of cheating, you will risk forfeiting your admission if you are caught, amongst the numerous invigilators present, and we have a representative from the Canadian Board of Engineers. At this point, i was almost shivering, beads of perspiration were already forming on my fore head and nose, my palms were moist, and my brains service (network) went out of range. Skimming through the questions, they seemed to come from Mars, i decided to start from the few familiar math problems. ...15 minutes later, i heard chants, screams and noise from the upper year students as they stormed the auditorium clad in various super hero costumes. Only then did i realized that over 700 engineering students including myself were victims of a successful prank. Such humorous deception pulled with utmost finesse with the help of the #frosh coordinators, Engineering undergraduate society and the general faculty made my day spectacular. #Proudly_Engineer #frosherheroes2014
