Is there anyone out there looking for a reliable gas mileage - TopicsExpress

Is there anyone out there looking for a reliable gas mileage truck? Its a 92 Ford Ranger regular cab, regular bed with a cap. Four Cylinder 2.3 engine, 5 speed manual trans. Odometer reads 04000, so put a 1 in front of it (104,000). It has many new parts, thermostat, timing belt, idler pulley, upper and lower radiator hoses, fuel filter, serpentine belt, oil change, rear brakes, brand new Kumho tires (all four), wipers, etc. It is currently in the shop for a few random issues (lack of acceleration and small gas leak) waiting for official diagnosis. Body has very little rust on it. The interior is clean other than the headliner which is torn and partially missing. Air has needed to be recharged. Passed emissions with flying colors this year. We bought this truck late last summer for my husband to drive back and forth to work at the mills in East Chicago. With the hour+ drive combined with the NWI weather, we need to get him a 4x4. We would keep this truck for him as a 3 seasons work truck but we do not have a place to park it after we buy a third vehicle. Its cheap to insure as well. $40 a month through progressive. He has been driving my 4x4 jeep and I would like it back. Sorry, I do not have any pictures at the moment, but it is a light beige/gold/metallic. The doors do lock, but we never got a key that would unlock them (learned that the hard way) GREAT ON GAS. And surprisingly good in the snow, but not reliable enough to get him from Cedar Lake, to East Chi where the lake effect snow hits. If interested, please comment or pm me. Asking under 2k. I say this because my husband and I havent agreed or discussed final price.
